DESCRIPTION:The Lyon County Relay for Life Event is August 19\, 2021.\n\nRelay may still look a little different this year\, but we're teaming up with Sounds of Summer to show that our purpose as a Relay community is as strong as ever.\n\nThe pandemic had a devastating impact on life-saving cancer screening rates\, which dropped by 90% for some cancers. Relay plays a vital part of reminding millions of people that timely screenings help catch cancer when it's most treatable as well as supporting research and other services.\n\nThis year's event is from 5:00-9:00pm and includes:\n\nMusic by Broken Oak\n\nRFL of Lyon County's First Annual Jimmy's Chili Cook-Off\n\nTraveling Trivia\n\nCold Stone Ice Cream\, hotdogs & water for sale (proceeds go to American Cancer Society and stay in Lyon County)\n\nCancer Survivor Ceremony featuring Sandy Fultz\n\nLive Auction by Deutz Auctioneers\n\nDJ services and photobooth by Downtown Sound Entertainment
