Caregiver's Expo & ACT on Alzheimer's Kick Off Event

2:30 - 5:30 Annual Caregiver Expo.  ‘Fun, Free and Focused on You’ providing education and support to those serving in a caregiving role.  Featuring speaker Bill Ward from the Senior Perspective newspaper column Reality Check “Caregivers Need Care, too.”  Learn about area providers/vendors, hear from local speakers and gain knowledge to ‘Soar with Support!’  Refreshments served.  Attendees may call Jackie at Avera Adult Day Services in advance at 537-9143 to request free respite care for a loved one.

5:30 Kick Off Event for ACT on Alzheimer’s, a grant which will focus on helping to make the Marshall Area a more dementia-friendly community.  Free Supper with speaker Jenna Herbig from the Alzheimer’s Association. The local action team and representatives from Marshall Area Dementia Network will provide explanation of the grant process and how community members can become involved.  Open invitation to all community members.
