Mystery Dinner Theatre! Costumes are encouraged. The mystery began one year ago tonight under a full moon, when a fire broke out at the Bates Mansion situated next to the historical cemetery at the edge of town. Witnesses to the fire say they saw the mansion spontaneously combust into a terrifying ball of fire and ghost-like beings flew out of every window. The mansion’s owner, Norman Bates, was killed and burned beyond recognition. Norman and some friends had been playing cards at the mansion that night, only one of them managed to escape. As of today the Bates mansion still lays in ruin at the top of that hill. Since the fire, animals have mysteriously disappeared: cows, dogs, chickens – it doesn’t matter, they all disappear. No one understands it but everyone considers their once quaint little town cursed. Soon the property will be going up for auction and despite its dark and tragic history there are some people who want the property and will do whatever they can to get it at the auction. After the Mystery we will be having a Halloween Dance. If you are not able to join our mystery, but would like to come for the dance a $5 suggested donation to Habitat for Humanity.
