Author Richard (Dick) V. Punchard will present his book, G.A.R. Grand Army of the Republic: Minnesota Department, on Monday, May 7 at the Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall. The program starts at 6:30pm. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. The program is free and light refreshments will be served. G.A.R. Grand Army of the Republic: Minnesota Department is an illustrated 90 year history book of the G.A.R. in Minnesota starting in 1866 and ending in 1956. The G.A.R. was a fraternal organization formed by and for the veterans of the American Civil War.
