Lunch and Learn: Self Defense!
January 11th, 12-1pm

Join us for the January Lunch and Learn hosted by the Marshall Area Chamber

Sergeant Hoekstra will demonstrate some simple self-defense techniques that will assist individuals in preventing an attack, and allow them the ability to disengage and escape the area.
Sergean Hoekstra will also include technique demonstrations for those who wish to practice on each other.

Seargeant Matthew Hoekstra was born and raised in the Marshall/Lynd
He has a Law Enforcement AAS Degree from Alexandria Tech - 2003.
19 years in Law Enforcement. 14 years with Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and last 5 years with Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
10 years as Emergency Response Team (ERT - SWAT) operator and Team Leader for Goodhue/Wabasha ERT Team
8 years as a Goodhue County K9 Handler
STORM (Strategy & Tactics on Redirecting Movement for the purpose of lawful control & effective self-defense) Certified Foundation Instructor Trainer.
