Description
Bush Community Innovation Grant In late spring 2016, Literacy Volunteers of Southwest Minnesota learned they had received a Community Innovation Grant from the Bush Foundation. The purpose of the two-year project is to engage with families to access educational opportunities, support K-12 student success, and build inclusive communities in Southwest Minnesota. They work with many partners, including SMSU and Marshall Public Schools.
For this month's Women's Connect, Candace Thomas, Marly Wagner, and MuMu Aye will give you some background on the project, progress to date, and (we hope) recruit you to be engaged in some way with the work all of us are doing to address opportunity gaps that exist for many of our families.
