Assistant Underwriter - Farm Underwriting

North Star Mutual Insurance is looking for an individual to assist with underwriting applications, renewals, change request endorsements and rating of policies.
 
Individuals that have solid decision-making skills, interact well with others, possess strong written and verbal communication, are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and have the ability to learn a variety of internal computer systems are encouraged to apply.
 
Preference for this position will be given to those with basic knowledge of farm property and operations, related education and/or experience. Previous insurance related experience for this position would be helpful, but is not required.
 
This is a full-time in-office position.
 
While a variety of factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skillset, level of education and/or experience will be taken into consideration, it is anticipated this position will start at $25.50 per hour. This role may be eligible for a merit increase at the 6-month mark and then annually thereafter and is eligible for our profit-sharing bonus plan.  
 
Starting Range $25.50 to $27.50 per hour.
