The Disability Resource Coordinator implements strategies of the Equitable Transition Model (ETM) Grant serving targeted 14–24-year-old youth with disabilities; and improves access to and participation of youth in employment, education, and training using career pathway model.
Responsibilities: Enrich and expand partnerships and strategically align youth and adult career pathways systems to effectively serve youth with disabilities through multiple entry and exit points. Utilize innovative intergenerational family support approach to promote successful outcomes for youth with disabilities participating in career pathways system and programs. Implement specific strategies to address the state’s employment gap for individuals from diverse cultures; and work toward becoming an employment network for the Ticket to Work program.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social services, counseling, or related area and/or years of experience serving youth and young adults with disabilities services and/or combination of higher education/experience. Familiarity with employment and training programs helpful. Ability to do group presentations/workshops/one-to-one. Valid driver’s license required. Ability to work independently, stay task focused, and work well in a team environment. Computer knowledge required. Bilingual skills desired. Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
