Job Summary

• The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is accountable for greeting and registering patients, providing a patient-friendly experience.
• Answers the telephone, greets patients, creates and updates patient and insurance information in the system.
• Verifies and analyzes health insurance benefits, accepts co-payment and explains payment policies and billing/collections processes.  
• Refers messages to the appropriate person and schedules appointments using proper telephone/ customer service etiquette.
• Provides Avera Chart information to patients and assists as needed in signing up.

Education and/or Experience

• Associates degree preferred.

• One to two years of experience preferred.

Work Schedule

• Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
• Week 2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
• Approximately every 6^th Saturday
• 56 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
